A war general is what I am. One who stands by the side of France. People address me as Ike, The Young Lion. In this story, I express my feelings for the hardships of the battles for my people’s liberty. Napoleon is my good, trusting friend who fights alongside me as we work for what is right. The fundamentals for the start of the French revolution were equality and liberty. Those in power didn’t stand equal in the Meeting of the Estates General. From the beginning, I always believed that everyone should have a say in government. However, not everyone believes so since the Third Estate is falling behind in power. The majority of the people in that Estate are commoners and peasants. Personally I feel bad because I want the poorer part of†¦show more content†¦Whoa! The commoners of the Third Estate pledged never to separate and to continue to congregate until a new constitution for France was written. From that moment, I realized that a revolution was about to occur amongst France. I was certain. It was obvious. The Parisians waged war on Versailles. Many people died during this battle, last time I checked it was 800 people. I ve heard that the main cause for this battle was for resources such as gunpowder and weapons but I truly knew that we were at the start of a new revolution for our independence. I certainly wasn t clear on the directions, all I knew was to fight them outside of the Bastille. I led my brave warriors there hoping that they realized what they were getting themselves into. They knew. They knew to fight for their right. The March on Versailles was another attack; this time between the Parisian women and the Versailles. I count a lot of ladies! Give or take 7,000! They’re all carrying pitchforks and muskets! Last time I went to the market, I noticed that the prices of bread had skyrocketed. This made times tough for the commoners. Now as for this time, I stood aside from this battle since my Shepherd Instructor sat me out on this one. However, I would want to stand for the liberty of the commoners. Here I am already halfway through my first online semester here at Sussex and wow has it gone by really quickly. It was just seven weeks ago that we all started here and even though the first half of it is over, we all got a long road ahead of us until we reach the end of the semester. Some people can make the mistake of starting to wind down because of the fact that it’s almost over. We just got to stay focused and not take anything for granted. I definitely think that I’ve come quite a long way since I first wrote that first journal entry of â€Å"Telling the truth†. Thinking back on that journal entry, I remember how I talked about how I didn’t really have any good study habits nor did I have good time management skills. As these weeks have gone by and especially with the help of this foundations class, I can definitely notice a change in my school habits. When it comes to how my general study habits have changed, I’ve been finding way to get mys elf to sit down and get homework done a lot more often and it’s become easier as well to do so. A trick that I figured out is that the best thing that works for me is that instead of sitting at home with an endless amount of distractions, I pack up my things and I’ll go to a coffee shop somewhere and do homework there. I also try to change up the places I go in order to keep things from feeling dull. After all, most colleges require some sort of cultural understanding or history of another culture class as part of the gene ral education criteria for obtaining a degree. It was found that some white students at Trenton State University in Texas hold parties where paratroopers dress like gangsters and drink alcohol from paper bags. On the weekend of Martin Luther King Jar. s birthday, a white student from Clemson University attended a similar party.
